How to Clean Up a Computer Registry
Written by admin on January 6, 2009 – 5:13 am -The origin of most of your computer problems or errors is the registry of your system but since you are reading this article it’s likely that you already know that. Cleaning the registry is not something you are likely to have asked anyone how to go about doing. The errors which affect your PC’s performance are down to two major causes and before cleaning up your system you should be aware of these.

An unclean registry happens if you delete a software manually without going through the process of uninstalling which is why you will often find unused files/data saturating your registry. Regularly performing this task will make it clear how this affects your computer. An incompatible hardware driver is one of the possible causes of Registry Crash which could be a much greater problem. Sometimes, forcing a software to install even though an error message occurs during the installation, could be the problem as well. A more serious problem is the blue screen of death which might appear.
It is important to note that even if you always carry out the process of keeping your registry clean and safe, your computer will still slow down gradually. This becomes increasingly likely to happen if you use your PC/laptop for months without ever carrying out routine maintenance. Disk defragmenter and disk clean up are maintenance programs provided by Windows which can certainly help you keeping your computer registry organized. Performing maintenance regularly does not necessarily mean your computer is clean just because it is organized although it should perform better. A particular space of your disk has all of those unused files kept together on it when you carry out this routine maintenance regularly with windows tools. If maintenance is never performed on the system then these files are spread all over it.
You may have noticed there are many registry cleaning software packages available on the market, which are created to help you clean this essential part of your computer system. You may perform the scanning every day to make sure your computer never runs slow nor will you become frustrated with the constant errors again. Many features are provided within the program by some versions of registry software. Built-in scheduler, junk file cleaner and more are features given in order to make it more convenient for its users. If you make a buying decision too early you may end up buying registry software that is not the best quality and cause even more errors.
